Forgiveness for Charlie Hustle

It’s interesting to see that certain positions in life give you the authority to give some people a second chance or a pardon.

President Biden has pardoned his son, his family and those he perceived as being prosecuted in the future…even though he promised he wouldn’t.

Newly elected President Trump refused to pardon him or his family when they were possibly going to be prosecuted by the opposition. And as he promised, rightly or wrongly, he pardoned 1,500 January 6 protesters on his first day in office.

One difference between the two presidents is that one broke his promise while the other kept his.

Forgiveness is part of the human psyche.

Even the most heinous crimes were forgiven to some extent when Biden commuted the death sentence of 37 criminals.

Why does MLB continue to penalize Pete Rose’s entry into the Hall of Fame? Yes, he broke the rule of betting on baseball and lied about it, but he didn’t kill anyone. He may have also been a jerk but he holds the all-time record for most hits in baseball with 4,256, most games played, 3,562, and played like every game was his last (Charlie Hustle).

Major League Baseball: if gambling is so horrible, why are all these gaming apps allowed to advertise during baseball games? Would it be that the money is more important and that there is no forgiveness in baseball?

“To err is human, to forgive is divine “
