Just Say it
The biggest thing the Democrats are pushing is that voting for Trump is a vote against Democracy. In other words, Democracy is being attacked. Is it?
From the Democratic perspective, I can understand that they believe Trump tried to overturn a free and fair election. Did he?
From a pragmatic view, I can see that Trump has some responsibility for January 6. He asked his supporters to come to a rally. They came out in overwhelming numbers. His ego got the better of him and he tried to show how popular he was. He then asked his followers to march Peacefully and Patriotically to the Capitol. Did he think they would storm the Capitol?
Did they plan to storm the Capitol?
None of this would have happened if he did not truly believe that the election was stolen. Was it? What about the now debunked Hunter Biden laptop that was pitched as Russia disinformation and signed by 51 former intelligence officials?
Stolen or not, he did not ask his followers to riot or storm the Capitol…yet he is responsible for asking them to come.
This election will be won or lost, not on Policy but on personality. If it were on Policy, it would be a landslide for Trump.
Who do you think is the bigger threat to Democracy, that is the question?
If Trump had taken the words of President Harry Truman, “ The buck stops here”, and taken some responsibility, which is not admitting fault, there would be no impediment to a second term.
