For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is invariably true as witness the response to President Trump’s policy of closing our borders and deporting the criminal element within.

The response in Los Angeles, probably the highest percentage of Mexican illegal immigrants, showed itself with hundreds waving the flags of their parent country and blocking the 101 Freeway. Is this considered free speech?

When changing the reins from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party you can always expect them to thwart or slow down their progress and platform.

A similar fight is going on with the US declaration of 25% tariffs against Mexico and Canada, our two close allies and trading partners. They have been taking advantage of us for years, especially with lax border controls and allowing fentanyl to come into the US which is causing some 100,000 deaths per year.

I think the high tariffs will force those countries to come to the table and negotiate more favorable prices for their goods and services. We can afford to live without them but can they afford to live without us?

This has been a whirlwind start for the presidency, and we still have almost 4 years to go. Exposure to hundreds of billions in waste and turning over a subpar workforce will create even more havoc.
