We call 911 and you will be there
In minutes it seems out of nowhere

For safety and health are your desires
In emergencies putting out the fires

You put yourself in harm’s way
To help us save the day

Working all day and all night
You help us to ease our fright

Know that we appreciate what you do
And we thank you through and through

Putting yourselves in a dangerous way
Makes you a hero to us every day

Flying helicopters or fixed-wing planes
Dropping water and slowing fire gains

With haze and smoke and plumes of red
You continue to fight and fly on ahead

We have no words to express our gratitude
And none are asked due to a great attitude

For all first responders and others involved
We thank you for getting things solved
